GrowGuide is a local-first application. All your personal data, including your location (ZIP code), saved plants, completed tasks, and preferences are stored exclusively in your browser's local storage.

We do NOT:

• Collect or store your data on our servers
• Share your information with third parties
• Track your browsing behavior
• Require user accounts or authentication

What Data Stays in Your Browser

• Location Data: Your ZIP code (used for frost dates and growing zones)
• Preferences: Notification settings, saved plants, favorite tools
• Task History: Your completed garden tasks and checklists

Analytics

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand general traffic patterns. This analytics tool respects user privacy and does not track personal information.

Data Retention

Your data remains in your browser until you manually clear it. You can export your data as a backup or delete it entirely from the Settings page.
